The UPUA Women in Shelter Initiative is a program of UPU America designed to provide women in shelters with hygiene and personal care items, promote dignity, and create awareness about their challenges. The initiative engages UPUA chapters, women’s shelters, donors, and volunteers to have a sustainable impact on host communities. The goal of this program is to deliver hygiene kits to at least 100 to 250 women within the first implementation cycle, to secure partnerships with relevant stakeholders for continued support, and to build a sustainable model that all UPUA chapters can replicate nationwide.
